“Arenys inesperat”
organized by the Agrupació Fotogràfica d’Arenys de Mar and the Ajuntament d’Arenys de Mar
Unexpected Arenys is an exploration of the forgotten spaces of our town. Those who never appear in the photographs because its aesthetics or its location.
With this exhibition the participant photographers wants to recover this locations by respecting its reality, but giving them the authors personal look and sensibility.
My personal contribution are two photos taken at two points of the town with apparently very little interest: the toll of the C-32 highway and one of the tunnels that crosses under the NII road. I personally think that the result is at least, interesting. I have published recently both pictures tagged as “Unexpected Arenys“.

És una idea molt atractiva. I més encara quan es tracta de mostrar imatges poc habituals d’un lloc que té una càrrega simbòlica tan forta com és el cas d’Arenys. M’han impressionat les dues fotos, de l’autopista i el túnel, just per aquest efecte “desmitificador” d’alguna cosa que hem preconcebut d’una altra manera. Alhora, les fotos fan bells uns espais poc “poètics”. A partir de la del túnel, he fet un experiment, quasi instintiu, que ha sigut anar a buscar un dels llibres emblemàtics d’Espriu, “La pell de brau”, i associar-li un poema. I el resultat, el penjaré, amb el teu permís, a Facebook, al llarg del dia 🙂

Moltes gràcies pel comentari, Maria Josep! Per descomptat ja estic esperant veure l’entrada al Facebook. Amb el teu permís, i suposo amb el d’Espriu, també inclouré en el blog el poema que has triat per a la foto del túnel. Ja fa molts mesos que no estic donant prou rellevància a aquesta simbiosi entre vers i imatge que a casa nostra es dona de forma tant natural, i aquesta és una excel·lent ocasió per fer-ho.
Tal i com comentes, Arenys no és només Espriu i fins hi tot la part que ho és, com pot ser el mític camí de la pietat, ha estat prou maltractada pel pas del temps i la pressió urbanística. Tot i així, realitzar aquesta sèrie de fotos ha estat gratificant per que ha obligat al fotògraf a buscar bellesa allà on ningú n’espera trobar, per acabar descobrint que n’hi ha gairebé a tot arreu.
